Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Blue Heron Foundation. Thanks to the dedication of dozens of retired, semi-retired, and full-time individuals who generously contribute their time, our programs can thrive and flourish. Whether they offer a few hours or their full commitment, each volunteer's efforts play a crucial role in making our initiatives successful.
In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry, the Blue Heron Foundation created and runs an afterschool and summer program called PickleMe enabling youths to reach their full potential through the exciting and inclusive sport of pickleball.
Club members develop physical and mental skills through instruction, mentoring, and playful games. They benefit by building eye-hand coordination and critical decision making, while boosting self-confidence and teamwork.
There are multiple ways to donate including a direct charitable contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry or help fund the purchase of specific Program equipment and supplies.
